Pere Marquette River Fishing Report
The Pere Marquette River fished well for Steelhead last week. The beginning of the week was great, we found and hooked some chrome in the pools. It was really good for a couple of days. By mid week they scattered and were on the move. With the rain over the weekend we’re sure to see more coming into the system. The river is in good shape coming up today and has a good stain to it. Look for Steelhead fishing to fish well a long with the resident Trout fishing. Flies last week were Clown Eggs and Brighter Nukes with a little more stain in the water and clouds. Fry patterns are starting to fish well along with Black Stoneflies. For the Swing try smaller Leech and Sculpin Patterns in Olive and Black with Copper. Towards the end of April I will be starting to focus more on Trout fishing. Check out some NEW fly patterns on the fly page. If interested I have these days open in May 18,22,23,24,31.
