As you can see by the pictures winter arrived once again. Looked and felt more like middle of January last couple of  weeks then middle of April.  We really needed rain up here and most of last weekend we saw it in the frozen form.  We received so much freezing rain it actually accumulated like snow, then we saw snow.  The river did rise and started to drop by Tuesday.   Then the warm weather arrived with the sun, which is great. Maybe Spring has actually arrived now.  With warmer temps and sun the river  level bumped back up on Friday.  Will be high over the weekend as the snow melts. Steelhead fishing has still been working for the reward. Hitting a lot of spots and covering water has been the key to finding a few players each day.   We have hooked some bright fish this last week, just not a lot.   Flies have been bigger Clown Egg’s in brighter colors.

Pics from last week  4/9 – 4/13    Mark with a nice Spring Buck . Joe finds this nice Hen with a Clown Egg.   Lorne had a great day finding some Steelhead on the Pere Marquette River.   Terry joined me for his first Steelhead experience and found this nice Buck on a Chartreuse Nuke Egg.
