Steelhead fishing on the Pere Marquette is good. You can find fish throughout the whole river system.   Not seeing a lot of fish in the deeper pools and runs, finding most of them in pocket water around spawning areas.  We could of used some of the rain the lower part of the state received last week.  Did get a little rain, not enough though to bring the river levels up and push some new fish into the system.  Just seeing a trickle of fresh fish here and there. For flies last week was a buffet of Nuke Eggs in Natural colors, Oregon Cheese, White and Apricot.  Stoneflies worked well along with smaller Fry patterns.  For the swing I haven’t swung to much the last couple of weeks, we did however one day last week and we hooked a couple Steelhead on Baitfish patterns.   Look for the fishing to continue and only get better if we get a good amount of rain this week.   Trout fishing is starting to pick up with smaller Streamers stripped off the bank and small Egg patterns are working well around the spawning areas of the Steelhead. If interested in some Trout fishing I have these few dates available the month of May.   May 10,22,23.

Few Pics from the last week of March 3/24,28-31.  Thanks to everyone for another great week !!!
