The Pere Marquette River came up once again, with heavy rains we saw Friday.  There are Salmon now scattered everywhere in the river.     With the dirtier water last week ,they still were moving a lot.  Covering a lot of water and hitting a good number of pools was key.   In the upper river you can find fish not only in pools and runs but there are a few around the

Hope everyone enjoyed the holiday weekend.  With the heat we’re getting this week, it’s hard to believe that summer is coming to and end.   Kids are back to school and my busy fall Salmon and Steelhead Season is under way.   I would like to thank everyone who joined me this summer, we had some great  Trout fishing.   It was good to see our native Brown and  Rainbow Trout doing so well this year.

The Pere Marquette River fished a little tougher last week with colder temps.  Then by the weekend we saw a nice warm front come through and even got a little bit of much needed  rain. This was a blessing it once again cooled the river off a little and brought it up.  The Dry Fly fishing kind of fizzled out for a bit with the colder temps.    Looks like some
