Nice Cool Down
The Pere Marquette River finally cooled off enough to wet a line. With that horrible heat wave a couple weeks ago it was good to see some cooler less humid temps this last week. River is low and clear, finding Trout looking up near structure and in the shade. Water conditions are due to change fast though as were in for some pretty good storms on Sunday. A buffet of flies is working, try Terrestrial patterns along with Nymphs and smaller Buggers have all worked well. Hope everyone is doing well and thanks, again to everyone who has joined me this Trout season it has been great fishing and great catching up with every one of you on the water. Enjoy the rest of summer, tight lines.
Pictures from last week. Trevor is all smiles with one of the biggest Rainbow’s I have seen hit a Dry Fly on the Pere Marquette River and what a take it was. “Congrats” Trevor !!! Bob joined me for two great days of fishing. The fish were looking up well. Bob showed them the fly the way they wanted it presented. “Nice Work Bob” !! One of my favorite Birds of Summer.
