Things are heating up!
Many Anglers have been anticipated the Hex hatch, it kicked off a little later then normal this year. We finally got the heat during the day and at night to get bugs started. You can find good fishing in the lower river, just be careful, water is still high and a little dirty due to recent rains again. The upper river is starting to heat up too with the warmer weather. You can find Damsel Flies, Bigger Stone Flies, Yellow Sally’s and few Hex’s floating around. We had some great fishing last week not a lot of fish but found some good ones looking up. From daytime, evening and after dark Trout fishing, to Fly Fishing for Small Mouth Bass and Pike. That’s the greatest thing about Michigan so many choices of fish species to pursue with a fly rod and reel. This time of year there’s a lot of water to do it in. Hope everyone has a great 4th of July. Be safe !!!! Jeff
Last week Tom and Sue joined for a day in a half floating the PM tossing big bug’s around. The water was still a little dirty but they managed to find some dandy Brown Trout. Tom with a personal best and one of my biggest seen on a dry fly this year and we didn’t even have to stay out after dark. 😁 Jim with a great Brown taken on a Dry Fly. Scott and I had a great day Small Mouth Bass Fishing and Pike. Little Hexing been good when I have gotten out. With early morning guide trips however , haven’t been out to much last week. Ryan and Mike had a good night with my old RO Boat it has great Mojo still. 😁
