The Maple Trees are starting to show a hint of Orange along the banks of the PM river. Salmon are also starting to show up on there annual migration.  Nights are getting shorter and the mornings have been much cooler, which is a blessing keeping the mosquitoes at bay for awhile.  Football started this week meaning only one thing the seasons are changing.  Last week once again was spent Trout fishing, the bite was tough with yet another front moving in and heavy rain hitting the area. The rain wasn’t enough to bring the water level up in the top portions of the river, it did however dirty up the lower river a bit.   The terrestrial bite was a little slow due to the cooler weather, warmer parts of the day the better the Dry Fly bite.  Small Streamers and wet flies fished slow was the ticket last week.   There are Salmon in the river now however not a lot yet.  They’re really scattered which  is usually the case when the first group enters the river. These fish move a lot and disperse through out the system looking for deeper pools or colder water.  Hope everyone enjoyed there Holiday Weekend.
