Fall is starting to show itself along the banks of the Pere Marquette River.  The weather last weekend and this last week was wet and definitely much cooler then the 80’s we were seeing.  Trees are starting to show some signs of fall color now.  The rain didn’t really do too much to the river as far as bringing it up or giving it a good stain. For the most part it’s still quite low and clear. The nasty weather did however bring in a big push of Salmon.  You can chase Salmon throughout the whole river system. Salmon fishing should continue to be good through the month of October.  You will find them in pocket water, along gravel and even a few in the pools and runs. Good Luck !!!!
Lots of great pics from the last couple weeks thanks to everyone who joined me on the water.  (top) Ian finds an absolute giant of a King Salmon bottomed out the Boga grip over 30lbs. Nice Job !!!!!!  Mark with a great Salmon he brought to the net.  Jim with a great fish that he managed to wrangle out of a woody spot.  Scott and John had a great day bringing some nice fish to hand including this double with a great Rainbow Trout.  Dave and Dave had a great day, and we all had a lot of laughs. Here’s a couple nice Kings they brought in.  Ed found this giant buck with an epic battle on an  Egg Sucking Leech.
