Much Needed Rain

Hope everyone is doing well. Trout fishing the last few weeks hasn’t been too easy on the Pere Marquette River.  Fishing has been pretty much good or bad depending on the weather.  One day it’s snowing and the next it’s sunny and warm. We could really use some rain. The river level has been at an all time low until recently. The river did come up a little with the recent rains Sunday night into Monday morning. Techniques have been mostly focused on Nymphing and fishing small Streamers on the strip. We’ve been swinging some wet flies too. Water is cold. We’re seeing a few bug’s including Hendrickson’s and Olives on the cloudy days.  But not a lot of fish feeding on top though.  Hopefully, this week we get more of the rain being forecasted. Hopefully it’s not just a brief small shower.
Pics Last week :  John with his first Brown trout on the fly.  Mitch get this Steelhead top of the morning on a stripped streamer. Pretty exciting !!!!! Gwinn with a nice Brown that took a streamer.
