Salmon Season is upon us on the Pere Marquette River. It’s hard to believe, summer just went by to fast this year.   We have seen two small pushes of Salmon enter the river one was pretty good on the last rain we had. The fish however are very scattered in the river system and there are a lot of areas that have little to none.  The water level is very low and warm making it hard for new fish to enter the river and old fish are becoming spooky.  Hopefully will see a significant amount of rain in the next few days to bring the water levels up.
Pics from last week 9/6-9/9   Tony kicked off the King season with a couple of great fish he brought to hand.   Mike and I had a blast with some great battles and a few Kings that hit the net.   Jeff had an awesome day with some great fish including this monster of a buck.   Paul and Jim ended the week the weather was summer like, but the heat didn’t stop them from hooking on bringing in some nice fish.
