The King Salmon run is in full swing on the Pere Marquette River.   You can find fish scattered throughout the whole river system.  Most of the fish are still in the deeper runs and pools with a few fish starting to spawn. The river is now low and clear with the summer like weather were still having up here. Looks like a little rain and some cooler weather this week.  Trout fishing remains good with small nymphs and streamers. Few fish still looking up too, Hoppers and assortment of Terrestrials are your best bet along with flying Ants as they were around last week.
Pics from last week 9/13-9/17   Doug joined for a few days on his annual Salmon trip.  He had a great fishing getting a great Brown and here are a few pics of some of Salmon he brought to hand.  Scott with a fresh King taken on an Egg Sucking Leech. Bruce all smiles with a nice King. Rick and his grandson Caleb joined me for their annual King trip what a blast great weather and fishing.  Caleb is such a joy to have in the boat so much fun and so great to see a kid out enjoying the river.
