King Salmon fishing remains good on the Pere Marquette River.   This by far has been one of the nicest Summers and Fall’s we have seen in a while up here. The weather has been great for any outdoor enthusiast.  The fall color is at its peak up here , everything is so vibrant along the banks of the river.   River came up a bit with some recent rain we had on Monday afternoon, we could use some more though to bring water levels up and some more King’s, Coho’s or even some Steelhead.   You can still find Salmon throughout the whole river system, focus now around spawning gravel, pockets and runs. Trout fishing has been good when we see the clouds the bright sunny days have been tough on a good trout bite.  There’s a few Steelhead around not a lot yet to getting excited about.  Hopefully, we see some more rain and higher river levels to get them moving into the system. This week my Salmon Season ends, will be chasing Bird Dog’s and Chrome for a while.    Hope everyone is doing well and get outside and enjoy this great weather. Before you know it the white stuff will be on the ground.
