Trout

The brown trout, or Salmo trutta, is not the biggest fish in our rivers! But once you land one of these beautiful browns, you'll understand why they are one of Michigan's prized possessions! Whether it's a 14" brown caught on a dry with 5x tippet, or a 22" meat-eating brown that slammed your streamer, these are the fish, anglers write their fish stories about. These are the elusive, smart fish of our rivers. They take persistence in angling and Perfection in casting. Book a bug or streamer trip with Jeff and see these beautiful browns in the beauty of the Pere Marquette River!

Steelhead

Steelhead, also known as "migratory rainbow trout" or Oncorhynchus mykiss. These silver bullets begin to invade our rivers in the late fall. If you've never hooked up with one of these beautiful chrome creatures, you're missing out on one of the best game fish Lake Michigan has to offer! These fish will send your reel screamin' and your adrenaline pumping. Even better, you can fish for these magnificent beauties for almost 8 months out of the year! In the fall and winter, you can swing big flies and in the spring you can throw on an indicator and fight fish all day long! Get steelhead trip booked with Jeff today!

King Salmon

The Chinook salmon, Oncorhynchus tshawytscha. If you've never spent a day chasing the largest migratory fish Lake Michigan has to offer, you're missing out! King Salmon begin their voyage up river typically in Mid to Late August. These fish average around 10-15 lbs, but if you get lucky, you may find some in the 10-30 lb range! Book a trip now to get on the river and chase these beasts with Jeff!
