Luscious Leech

I designed this fly along time ago when I started swinging flies. It’s my go to fly on the smaller rivers. Works great with clear water. Not too flashy and lots of movement. Lucious Leech Recipe Hook: Daichi 2461 Size 2 Tail: Black Rabbit Zonker Strip Body: Crosscut Black Rabbit Strip palmered to front of hook Wing: Palmered barred Woodduck flank to front Head: Orange Ice Dub

April is the time of year that the Salmon fry start to hatch and show themselves in big numbers. This fly is not only deadly on Steelhead but also becomes a nice snack for big Browns that thrive in the waters I guide on. Little Fry Recipe Hook: #700 Dai Riki number 6 or 8 Tail: White Grizzly Marabou Body: Olive Ice

Miserable Magnet Recipe Hook: Daiichi 2461 Size 24 Tail: Black Rabbit Stripr Body: Blue Steel Ice Dub Wing: Pull Black Rabbit Over to front Wing: Blue Holographic Flashabou, Fuchsia ( Raspberry Holographic Flashabou, Silver Holographic Flashabou Collar: Blue Schlappen Head: Aussie Possum (add lead eyes for high water) This is a go to swing fly when nothing else is working on

Rabid Dog Series

This fall found myself playing around with the Temple Dog Hair, I found this stuff to be great you can use little of it, but yet still get good profile and movement out of your flies. (For you tube fly guys it’s really awesome to tie with.) This fly fished last fall through the winter really well for me, especially on sunny days. It resembles a Sculpin or Goby. Rabid

Super Smolt

Now that it’s streamer season for trout, I wanted to tie something that was out of the ordinary. That’s one nice thing about streamers, you the tier can let your imagine go wild. This is what I clearly love to do. I like to create flies that are simple and effective. I also like to take ideas from different patterns I have seen
